Appointments for the doctor can be booked by telephone on (01296) 658585, during our opening hours, in person in the surgery or online via the link at the top of this page.
If your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a GP within 2 working days. You may have to wait longer if you wish to see a particular GP.
Appointments are for 10 minutes and the doctor will be able to deal with one problem only at this appointment time.
These are seen on the same day – Please inform us immediately if your appointment is an emergency e.g. Chest pain, shortness of breath or bleeding.
These are bookable at reception and by telephone and can be booked in advance. The receptionist will ask the reason for your appointment to enable them to book sufficient time for your requirements. There are also urgent same day appointments for nursing appointments.
Speaking With Your Doctor
There are times when you may wish to telephone and speak to your doctor for advice or queries. The receptionist will take your details and a message outlining the nature of your call.
Please phone before 12pm for routine problems.
If you do not leave any details about the call the doctors will be unable to prioritise the message and your call may not be returned until the following day.
Doctors will aim to return telephone calls between 11.30-2.00pm. Please make sure you are available to answer the phone call during these times, and have given the receptionist an appropriate telephone number. Doctors have clinics that run both in the mornings and afternoons, as well as attending home visits at lunchtime. They will not be able to return routine calls after 15.30.
All Emergency and Urgent problems will be dealt with throughout the day.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
