Extended Services

Extended Hours & Improved Access Appointments

Waddesdon Surgery is part of the North Buckinghamshire Primary Care Network (PCN), working with local GP practices to provide Extended Hours and Improved Access appointments. These services offer patients greater flexibility by making additional appointments available both outside and during normal surgery hours.

Appointment Times

Appointments are available at the following times:

  • Monday to Friday: From 7:00am up until  8:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • Sunday: 9:00am – 1:00pm (at a FedBucks Improved Access Hub)

Appointment types may include:

  • GP consultations
  • Telephone appointments
  • Nurse appointments

Availability varies depending on the clinic.

Where You May Be Seen

Patients registered with a GP practice within the North Buckinghamshire PCN may be offered appointments at any of the participating practices:

  • Waddesdon Surgery – Waddesdon
  • The Swan Practice – Buckingham
  • 3W Health – Wing, Whitchurch and Winslow
  • Ashcroft Surgery – Wing
  • Edlesborough & Pitstone Surgeries – Edlesborough and Pitstone

Sunday and Bank Holiday weekend appointments are provided at the FedBucks Improved Access Hubs:

  • High Wycombe Hospital
  • Stoke Mandeville Hospital
  • Threeways Surgery, Stoke Poges

Please note that your appointment may not be with your usual GP or clinician.

How to Book

All appointments must be booked in advance through your registered GP practice.

Appointments can be booked during normal surgery opening hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:30pm

This is not a walk-in service, and telephone lines are not staffed during Extended Hours clinics.

You may also be able to book GP appointments online using the NHS App or Patient Access, where available.
