Infection Prevention and Control
We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all our patients, visitors, and staff. We take pride in our modern, purpose-built practice and work hard to ensure our premises are clean, well maintained, and compliant with the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
If you have any concerns about cleanliness or infection prevention and control during your visit, please speak to a member of our Reception team.
Our Commitment
Our GPs, nurses, and all practice staff follow our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Policy to ensure that the care we provide and the equipment we use are safe for everyone.
To help maintain the highest standards, we:
- Encourage patients and staff to raise any concerns or report incidents relating to cleanliness and infection prevention and control, enabling us to review and improve our processes where necessary.
- Carry out an annual Infection Prevention and Control audit to ensure our procedures remain effective.
- Provide regular training and annual updates for all staff on infection prevention and control.
- Review our policies and procedures to ensure they remain up to date and reflect current national guidance.
- Maintain our premises and equipment to a high standard and take all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of infection.
- Use disposable or washable materials where appropriate, including couch rolls, privacy curtains, towels, and other clinical furnishings, ensuring they are cleaned, laundered, or replaced regularly.
- Provide alcohol-based hand sanitiser throughout the practice for patients, visitors, and staff.
